Tim, Renée, Ellie & Xavi together make the T.R.E.X. family and we're embarking on the first all electric family camping trip around Australia.  

We care deeply about protecting our incredible planet so that our kids can have a healthy future and continue to enjoy all the natural wonders of our beautiful country.

Electrifying everything, including our transport, has an important role in reducing emissions and the solution to the climate crisis. Unfortunately, Australia is lagging behind when it comes to the transition to electric vehicles with many Australians harbouring doubts about the ability of EVs to meet their travel needs and expectations.

Former Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison actively fostered these concerns and negativity. He famously stated that EVs would “end the weekend” and that:

 

“An electric vehicle won't tow your trailer.
It's not going to tow your boat.

It's not going to get you out to your

favourite camping spot with your family"

But Scott was wrong!  An EV will tow our trailer and take our family to fantastic camping spots all around the country. In 2024 we are undertaking a demonstration journey, completing the first all electric, family-camper "big lap" of Australia.
